Sonneborn Launches New Generation of Compressor Lubricants

Sonneborn, a world leader in the manufacture and supply of high-purity specialty hydrocarbons, announces the Sonolube® HP series, the fourth and latest generation of Sonneborn’s compressor lubricant line. The Sonolube HP series is specifically formulated to be used in today’s ultra-high pressure ethylene compressors. These state-of-the-art compressors can have operating pressures in excess of 3,000 bar (43,500 psi), the highest pressures found in any industrial process, requiring the most advanced lubricating technology.

Compressor lubricants are used in high-pressure ethylene compressors in the production of low density polyethylene (LDPE) and related copolymers.  Sonneborn has been supplying the LDPE industry for over four decades and has now introduced four generations of technology, each built upon the success of prior generations.
