Sonneborn, Inc. Announces the Commissioning of a Process and Product Development
Facility at Petrolia, PA.

Big things come from brilliant ideas!  Taking the concept to reality is one of the many things that Sonneborn does best.

Sonneborn has commissioned a Process and Product Development (PPD) Facility at its Petrolia, PA plant that provides us with unique capabilities such as catalyst selection, feedstock evaluation and new product development. New and improved hydrotreating catalyst technology can be evaluated and the optimum catalyst can be selected for future full-scale implementation. During periods of tight base oil supply and strong demand, a wide array of feedstocks can be tested in the pilot units to provide Sonneborn with the critical flexibility that enables us to provide secure and dependable supply for our customers. Sonneborn has this unique capability and it supports our leadership position in the strategic markets we serve.
